Challenge Your Trybe
Dare today. Earn glory tomorrow.
Whatever you want to do more of, TRYBE makes it better with your people. Walk further, train more, read every night, meditate, save, or finally stick to that habit you keep putting off. Create the challenge, invite your friends and let TRYBE keep score.
For the things your watch or phone already tracks, your progress updates without you having to log it again. Just do what you were going to do, TRYBE takes care of the counting. Compete for the top spot, cheer each other on, or simply make sure nobody quietly gives up halfway through. Your goals, your people, one place to keep it going.

Challenges
There’s more than one way to challenge your Trybe.
Every challenge has a start date and an end date, so everyone knows exactly what they’re signing up for. Choose what you want to track, decide how progress will count, then add a reward, a consequence, or both if you want to make things a little more interesting.

Fair play
Same challenge. Same rules.
When your challenge uses activity tracked by your phone or watch, TRYBE uses that data to keep score automatically. Everyone is measured the same way, so you can focus on the challenge instead of arguing about the numbers.
Your data, your progress
Same rules for everyone
When it’s done, it’s done
Trophy Cabinet
Keep the receipts.
Every challenge becomes part of your TRYBE history. Your wins, podium finishes and achievements stay on your profile, building a Trophy Cabinet that shows what you’ve actually done.
When the challenge ends, see the final standings, celebrate the highlights and share the result with your people. Because a win is good. Having proof of it is better.
For business
Workplace challenges people actually take part in.
Register your company on Trybe and claim your email domain. We check it before the account is verified, so nobody can set up shop under your name.
Verified organisations carry a badge, so employees can tell a real company account from someone using the company name.

- A verified badge employees can trust
- Clubs for each team, site or department

Privacy and safety
Health data is the most personal data there is.
Not every challenge involves it — but the moment one does, the rules change. Under South Africa’s POPIA, fitness and health information is special personal information, a category held to stricter rules than an email address. Trybe was built around that rather than retrofitted to it.
- Your activity is used to score challenges you joined. Nothing else.
- It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone you have not chosen to compete against. Other users see your position on a leaderboard — never your underlying health record.
- You choose what to connect, and you can disconnect it.
- Permission is asked for at the moment it is needed, for the specific thing it is needed for, and can be withdrawn at any time from inside the app.
- You can take everything with you, or have it destroyed.
- A full export of what we hold, or deletion of the account. Deletion runs a 30-day window before a permanent purge, so a mistaken or pressured deletion is recoverable.
- Trybe is for 13 and over, and under-18s need a parent or guardian.
- Health data belonging to a child is treated differently in law — POPIA s34 — and differently here. Accounts we know to be minors are more restricted, not less.

Questions
In case we missed something.
- What does TRYBE cost?
- TRYBE is $1.99 a month or $21.00 a year, with your first 14 days free. Your membership includes the full TRYBE experience, with no ads, paid upgrades or locked features.
- What happens after my 14-day trial?
- If you want to keep using TRYBE, your membership continues on the plan you selected. If you don’t continue, your account and challenge history stay there, ready if you decide to come back.
- Do my friends need the app?
- Yes, everyone taking part in a challenge needs TRYBE so their progress can be tracked and added to the leaderboard. When you send an invite, they can see what the challenge is about before downloading the app and joining in.
- Does TRYBE only do fitness?
- Not at all. Reading, meditation, saving, hydration, no takeaways, learning something new or anything else you can measure can become a challenge. Fitness is simply one of the things TRYBE can track automatically.
- Which fitness trackers work with TRYBE?
- TRYBE connects with Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, allowing activity from many of the watches and fitness trackers you already use to count towards your challenges. You can also connect Strava directly.
- Do I have to enter my steps or activity manually?
- No. For challenges your phone or watch can already track, TRYBE pulls the activity from your connected platform and keeps score for you. Keep moving and let TRYBE do the counting.
- What if my challenge can’t be tracked by my watch?
- Not everything worth doing comes with a step count. For challenges that can’t be tracked automatically, you can add photo proof or choose to run the challenge on your honour.
- What if I miss a day?
- Life happens. For streak challenges, you get two freezes each month to cover the days you genuinely can’t get it done, without losing the streak you’ve been building.
- Can I keep a challenge private?
- Yes. Private challenges are only accessible through the invitation you send, so you decide exactly who joins. Clubs can also be public or kept private with a join code.
- Can I challenge more than just my friends?
- Absolutely. TRYBE is built for friends, families, colleagues, running clubs, CrossFit boxes, teams and communities. Keep it within your own circle or make the challenge bigger.
- What’s a Duel?
- A Duel puts two sides head-to-head in the same challenge. It can be two people or two groups, with both sides competing towards the same goal to see who comes out on top.
- What’s a Club?
- A Club gives your group its own home on TRYBE. Create one for your running club, CrossFit box, office team or community, keep everyone together and take on challenges as a group.
- Can I create my own challenge?
- Yes. Choose the goal, set the start and end dates, decide how progress will be tracked and add a reward, a consequence, or both. Then invite your people and get going.
- Can other people see my health data?
- No. Other users see the progress that counts towards your challenge, not your underlying health information. TRYBE only uses the activity data needed for the challenges you choose to join.
- Can I cancel whenever I want?
- Yes. Your subscription is managed through the App Store or Google Play and can be cancelled there at any time.
- How do I get help?
- Email hello@trybefit.co.za. A person reads it.

Pick someone who reckons they would beat you at it. Send them a challenge. Find out.
